Last year Google announced their plans to build a high-spead fiber optic network in 1 city and started taking applications. The city of Colorado Springs applied along with over 1000 other cities and Google has now made its choice. The winning city is Kansas City, Kansas.
Beginning in 2012, Google is planning on providing internet service that is more than 100 time faster than the home broadband connections currently available across the country. Google wants to provide customers the ability to download a high-definition film in less than 5 minutes, allow rural health clinics to send 3-D medical images over the Internet and let students collaborate with classmates around the world while watching live 3-D video of a university lecture.
This network will be similar to Falcon Broadband's FTTH network and will be able to provide speeds up to 1 gigabit per second. So you don't have to move to Kansas to get blazing fast speeds, they are already available to Falcon Broadband's fiber customers.

| TBS Major League Baseball Blackout Announcement |
|
|
Just like the NFL, Major League Baseball has blackout policies as well. Regardless of where a game is played, each TBS broadcast of that game will be blacked out within the home territories of the participating teams. During a blackout game, TBS will show alternate programming until the conclusion of that game. This doesn't mean you won't be able to watch the game, it just means you won't be able to watch it on TBS.
